Originally founded in Geelong in 1952, genU is a profit-for-purpose organisation that empowers people of all abilities through employment, training, education, and social inclusion programs.
Our partnership with genU started in 2023, and our commitment to genU has since extended to include contributions from both Social Canvas and Chromatic Cadence collections, two ranges designed to celebrate individuality and creativity in the built environment. Through this initiative, $1 is donated to the genU Arts Programme for every square metre sold across both collections on a bi-annual basis.

Social Canvas serves as a focus point, or artistic accent, to bring the warmth of the human spirit into spaces where we can all feel welcome and supported. Encompassing multiple carpet styles, each viewed as a different canvas, the collection spans chunky and smooth textures, incorporating colourful brushwork and a refined palette. In pursuit of celebrating artists with disabilities and those experiencing disadvantage in the Oceanic region, our Social Canvas Collection is proud to support genU Arts Programme by providing an annual donation.

The Chromatic Cadence modular carpet collection imagines colour as melody, creating a tonal rhythm across the floor and inviting flights of imagination or meditative calm. Colour is like music: it carries you into a different frame of mind, sparking new emotions and inspiring deeper connections to your world. Chromatic Cadence is inspired by the work of artist Yvette and her uvse of music as a starting point for her expressive, colour-filled paintings. In pursuit of celebrating artists with disabilities in the Oceanic region, our Chromatic Cadence product is proud to support genU’s Arts Programme, donating $1 per square metre sold on a bi-annual basis.
Our inaugural donation in 2023 helped bring to life RISE, a local Geelong exhibition developed through the genU Arts programme that provided a platform for emerging artists living with disability. It was a powerful showcase of creative expression and community inclusion. We’re pleased to share that our second donation supported the 2025 artX Metro exhibition, a creative program from genU.
