Located in northern Perth, the Kingsway Bar & Bistro is a family owned and operated venue that offers a local bar and dining experience and a vibrant community setting. The venue is an open space offering bistro dining and a sports bar making the space the perfect location for family gatherings and friendly catch ups. The bistro offers a diverse menu with a range of crowd favourites with chefs source a range of local ingredients.

Kingsway Bar & Bistro have recently renewed the interiors of a range of spaces within their venue and were looking for a flooring solution that aligned with their refreshed space. The GH Commercial team provided a range of flooring solutions to the Kingsway Bar & Bistro team to select from and the unique appearance of Feather in colour 969 Great Grey carpet plank from our Owls Collection was the perfect fit for the space. Installed in bistro, bar and TAB spaces the product immediately brightened up each space as required.

The Owls Collection has been designed by Jason F. McLennan in collaboration with Mohawk Group, and captures the essence of these birds of prey through colour and patterning. Inspired by their plumage, mottled shades of black, brown, tan and grey take flight as a distinctive, yet versatile commercial carpet plank across two patterns—Feather and Flight. A stylised visual and simple texture create intriguing, coordinating combinations.

Cushion Backing – Improved Acoustics and Comfort Underfoot

Acoustics play a significant role in an interior environment. Background noise, particularly in open plan spaces, such as dining spaces can affect the overall ambience of a space and customer satisfaction. Carpet tiles and planks with cushion backing can absorb up to 30% more sound and can reduce impact sound transference by up to 12db compared to standard carpet tiles. The Kingsway Bar & Bistro selected Enviro Bac Plus® cushion backing for their bar and bistro to improve acoustics and underfoot comfort for its patrons.
