Set in Melbourne’s Docklands, Four Points by Sheraton has travelled down an architectural journey of contemporary hospitality design. Having recently been shortlisted at the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards in the Hospitality Design category, DKO successfully injected local flavour into the design and palette of this project.

We were thrilled to design and supply a custom carpet for this chic Melbourne hotel. As you enter the main doors, you will find our carpet featured as a rug insert in the bar area surrounded by gorgeous marble and rich velvet furnishings. This design features a geometric pattern in a neutral colour palette made up of warm grey hues to match its setting.

Continuing the rich material palette and geometric base, the guestroom design does not disappoint. This custom carpet has become the hero of the space, with its bold but calming colour choice of layered blues balanced out by crisp white walls and sleek contemporary furnishings.

For consistency, this pattern was carried through to the conference rooms and restaurant areas, opting for a more neutral colour palette of dark and light greys to complement the corporate environment.

Printed on a 2m wide sheet, our Designer Jet® technology has allowed these designs to be created locally in a fast and efficient way. Our team of in-house designers thrive on creating custom solutions to suit each individual project.
