Project Overview:

In the heart of Sydney’s CBD, freight logistics company Ofload has transformed its headquarters at 155 Clarence Street into a vibrant, collaborative workplace that mirrors its growth, ambition, and progressive brand identity. The redesign was driven by a vision to create an energizing environment that encourages connection, sparks innovation, and inspires creativity.

In an era where remote and hybrid work are the norm, Ofload wanted its physical office to be more than just a place to work, it needed to be a compelling reason for people to come together.

Design Highlights

Stepping inside Ofload’s revitalised space, visitors are welcomed by light-filled interiors spanning two office levels. A neutral base palette is elevated with warm timber accents, creating a welcoming backdrop for dynamic features.

The ground floor serves as the social heart of the workplace, anchored by tiered bleacher seating for informal gatherings. A sculptural timber staircase with glass balustrades rises alongside an unexpected design element, a hidden slide, adding a playful twist to the professional setting.

Elsewhere, a navy-blue pool table, a bold acoustic feature wall punctuated with yellow accents, and a mix of focus rooms and whiteboard zones provide spaces for everything from quiet concentration to energetic brainstorming.

Flooring Designed for Performance and Wellbeing

From our Relaxing Floors Collection by Mohawk Group, the workplace features ChillD and Fractal Ground carpet tiles that were chosen for their visual sophistication and ability to support both wellbeing and performance.

Inspired by the stress-reducing qualities of fractals, naturally occurring patterns known to promote relaxation, these designs tap into our innate connection with nature. ChillD features a computer-generated fractal pattern anchored by triangular segment-shaped seeds, delivering an intricate yet balanced aesthetic. Fractal Ground offers a textural, organic ground cover visual that can work as a stand-alone field carpet or as a coordinating base. Together, they create a harmonious, layered look that defines zones while providing a calming visual rhythm.

Beyond their aesthetic value, both products excel in acoustic performance, durability, and underfoot comfort. The dense construction reduces noise transfer between collaborative hubs, focus rooms, and breakout areas, enhancing productivity. Soft yet supportive underfoot, the tiles contribute to a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. Their modular format allows for easy installation and selective replacement, maintaining long-term appearance and performance in high-traffic areas.

A Cohesive Interior Aesthetic

Natural light fills the Ofload office, enhancing a palette of soft neutrals and timber accents. The textured patterns of ChillD and Fractal Ground add visual interest to the floors without overwhelming the architectural elements, tying together the bleacher seating, sleek timber staircase, glass balustrades, and playful slide into a cohesive, modern aesthetic.

The flooring works hand-in-hand with other design features in the space. From the vibrant acoustic wall with yellow accents to the navy-blue pool table, helping to define spaces while maintaining an overall sense of connection across the workplace.
