Henley Brook Primary School officially opened in early 2024 welcoming students from kindergarten to Year 6 in Perth’s growing north-eastern suburbs. This $31.3 million project implemented a range of architecturally designed modern facilities from classrooms, library, canteen, specialist art and science spaces as well as a range of sport and play outdoor spaces.

Designed by Perth based architect firm, Carabiner, who focus their design on the purpose of empowering people who visit, work and live in the spaces they create. The Carabiner team were searching for a carpet product that visually displayed varied lightness and darkness whilst appearing like a seamless on the floor. Our Optic Reset collection met the specific brief required and provided the varied depth of colour whilst being subtle in nature.

Optic Reset Collection

Our Optic Reset Collection is a modular carpet collection that consists of two mid-scale Field of View patterns, and a coordinating texture – Shifted Focus, both of which have been created using elements from photography, illustration, and graphic design. Using positive and negative space, creating tonal shifts, and pushing boundaries of abstracted subject matter, Optic Reset allows you to create your own visual narratives with dual styles in shifting colourways of light and dark.
Henley Brook Primary utilises a mix of Field of View Light and Field of View Dark in a deep Indigo colourway transitioned across classroom spaces to provide a balance of light and dark colour application on the floor. Shifted Focus in colour 957 Ferro is applied throughout the administration office for a more subtle flooring effect.
